Eastern VetPath began in 2011, when a group of veterinary pathologists formed a relationship as independent contractors with an established human dermatopathology laboratory, KDL Pathology. The affiliation made immediate sense logistically. An excellent laboratory infrastructure – meeting the standards for College of American Pathologists accreditation – was already in place. In late 2014, KDL VetPath LLC formally became its own entity. In December of 2015, we changed our name to Eastern VetPath to reflect the region we are so honored to serve.
Infrastructure is important, but the main reason Eastern VetPath has flourished is our commitment to quality and highly personalized service to our clients. We have grown by providing responsive, high-quality service to veterinary specialists and general practitioners throughout the eastern USA.
The end product we provide to our clients – a written report consisting of description and interpretation by a specialist in veterinary pathology – is similar to what our competitors offer.
We are able to deliver uniquely agile, personalized service because we are an independent pathology group. Serving our clients is a daily commitment because the veterinary pathologists who started Eastern VetPath and who are major stakeholders in its success are the same pathologists reading the cases.
We take pride in providing clear, thorough pathology reports. However, the ideal Eastern VetPath client views us as more than a report generator. We aim to develop a client relationship that involves personal trust. Our ideal client views us as part of a team that provides the best, most responsive possible care for their clients and their pets. We have learned that our clients want to keep using us because our service and our attitude reflect our core values of communication and compassion. Our credentials tell our clients that we are qualified. Our actions show our clients that we care about them and they can depend on us.
